Patient Testimonials, Atlanta LASIK

My name is Dan and I am a 30 year-old probation/parole officer. I have been wearing glasses since the fourth grade and contacts since the 6th grade. My vision before the surgery was 20/550. In layman's terms, I couldn't even see the big E on the eye chart. I had been interested in corrective surgery for quite some time. I had originally looked at RK surgery but due to my career there was a good chance of going blind with a sudden eye injury. Then I heard about LASIK surgery and the fact that it had fewer risks than RK. Again I was interested, but since it dealt with my eyes, I was still skeptical. A friend told me about Dr. Woolfson and CLE, and I was impressed with his skill and success rate. I decided to take the risk and have the surgery. I have not regretted it since. Right after the surgery I went from 20/550 to around 20/30. The next day I tested 20/15 in my right eye and 20/20 in my left. So far my eyes have maintained their strength. It is so great to be able to wake up in the morning and not have to look for my glasses or stumble to the bathroom to put in my contacts. It was a wonderful feeling to go home and get rid of my old contact supplies. Thank you Dr. Woolfson for giving me the gift of sight again.

Have you ever felt that you've been given a new lease on life? That's exactly how I feel since I've had LASIK. Instead of green fuzz around a tree trunk, I can now actually see the outline of the leaves. I have the chance again to enjoy so many of the little things in our everyday life that we take so much for granted. Thank you so much, Dr. Woolfson, for renewing my eyesight and giving me the chance to see clearly again.

I didn't want to wear reading glasses!! My vision wasn't too bad and I had only a little astigmatism, or so I thought. You don't know how poorly you see until someone makes you see GREAT! With only seconds of lasering, my eyesight was returned to better than 20/15. Am I an exception? Maybe, but so was my surgeon, Dr. Woolfson!! I thank you everyday.

My vision has improved so much! My glasses got in the way everyday and it was difficult to wear my lens for very long. I don't know why I waited so long to make this decision but I'm glad I finally did. Several doctors I talked with wanted to do the surgery on the same day that I saw them but I felt pressured. Woolfson Eye Institute was patient and answered all my questions before they scheduled a surgery date. I even called them back a couple of times before my LASIK to ask more! Thanks again.

I wanted to know why LASIK at Woolfson Eye Institute cost more than the other place I saw advertising in the paper. They told me all the services that are included in their price. I didn't have to pay extra for the stuff those other low price places didn't mention in the ad price. My cost came out better when I added it all up and I was getting very experienced doctors and new technology too. Thank you for everything.

I just wanted to write and thank you and your staff for giving me the gift of uncorrected vision. While it has only been 4 days, I believe I am seeing as well or better than I did with contacts. At my first post-op appointment, I was seeing 20/20 without corrective lens for the first time in 29 years. You and your staff did an excellent job at explaining the procedure, the risks, the procedure itself and finally with my post op care. You can be sure that when it comes to others having the LASIK procedure, I will refer them to you and your staff as a result of your excellent care and treatment.

"I had my LASIK consult at the end of November, when Dr. Parisi told me that I was a good candidate for LASIK. Let me add that there was no charge for this LASIK consultation. After wearing glasses for 25 years of my 35 years, I can finally see without the aid of any vision device. Had I only known what life was going to be like without glasses and that the procedure was so simple and safe - I think I would have had this procedure much earlier in my life."
